Lyndsey Marshal is fantastic and I actually loved how understandable yet entirely wrong her character behaved. And jesus the way loving her fucked with Mitchell’s “put a woman on a pedestal, yes, that’ll solve all my problems!” issues was wrecking and brilliant. At the time I watched 2x08, I actually really wanted to see Lucy become part of the house and have to live with what she’d done, live out a redemption arc. As it is, the show’s only ever asked us to understand and see the humanity of men struggling with the crimes they’ve committed. And Lyndsey Marshal could have ROCKED THAT SO HARD.

But she might not have been able to do Garrow’s Law, then. And that would have been saaad, so… my point about only being asked to forgive and understand male murderers in the main cast stands, but I’m happy enough how things turned out.

I would have loved loved LOVED to have Lucy stick around and deal with everything.
